Canine Link is a 501 (c)(3) not–for–profit therapy dog
organization operating in the the Berkshire County of
Massachusetts, North West County of Connecticut, Columbia /
Dutchess County of New York, and Main Line Pennsylvania. We
train and certify therapy dog teams (handler and dog) and
provide therapy dog services to individuals in hospitals,
nursing homes, schools, and other facilities.
WHAT DO CANINE LINK TEAMS DO?
As a therapy dog team, you and your dog can provide emotional
support and begin to improve people's lives in health care,
educational, and other community facilities. Therapy dog
visits have been shown to have positive impacts on many,
including critically ill patients, children learning to read,
individuals with developmental disabilities, and veterans
returning home from service.
HOW CAN MY DOG AND I BECOME A CANINE
After an initial evaluation, volunteers and their dogs are
certified as Canine Link teams by graduating from our six- to
twelve-session beginner or advanced therapy training program.
Your dog must be healthy and loving, have a good temperament,
and be at least 3˝ months old. For more information, please
